Tomorrow, in some macabre ceremony with “victims” of “gun violence,” Barack Obama will sign unconstitutional executive orders restricting the Second Amendment of American citizens.
But the truth is, gun control is not important.
Poll after poll shows that not only do Americans oppose more gun control, the issue isn’t even a priority for them.
A new Gallup poll shows that “guns” and “gun control” ranked 19th out of their top 23 problems facing the country and only 2 percent said it was their “most important,” CNSNews is reporting.
Their top problem – that Obama has failed to address at all – is the “economy in general,” followed by “unemployment” and immigration.
Other top issues Americans care about that Obama is ignoring – or making worse – are the ethical and moral decline of the country, race and race relations, terrorism, the federal deficit and education.
Results for the monthly Gallup Poll Social Series surveys included in this analysis are based on telephone interviews conducted with a random sample of approximately 1,000 adults, aged 18 and older, living in all 50 U.S. states and the District of Columbia. The yearly averages from the combined results are based on the total sample of approximately 12,000 national adults, with a margin of sampling error of ±1 percentage point at the 95% confidence level.
Each sample of national adults includes a minimum quota of 50% cellphone respondents and 50% landline respondents, with additional minimum quotas by time zone within region. Landline and cellular telephone numbers are selected using random-digit-dial methods.
